With this new project, the Samaritaine is making a big impact, positioning itself as the most modern and up to date department stores.
Paris à poil(s)" is a "film-manifesto" created by Exhibition for the Samaritaine to explore the symbolic scope and polysemic dimension of hair. It's an invitation to rediscover our authenticity, to come out of our cocoon while embracing the arrival of warmer days.
Hair is a vast subject. We're starting to talk about it more and more, but it's still taboo. There are many questions and symbols surrounding it. Firstly, the societal dimension, with the question of gender and the relationship with the body. We see it as a claim, an element that contributes to our physical freedom. We can also talk about its fashion dimension: the sensorial and pleasure surrounding it, with soft and comfortable materials. Finally, its environmental dimension, with the need for traceability, transparency and naturalness.
Hair is all these things, and the Samaritaine has decided to break the taboos and tackle this controversial and daring subject.
